You’re absolutely right. Although my initial research found contemporary references saying there was no definitive evidence of sexual assault, the vast majority of mainstream reporting does make clear that the investigative and autopsy record indicated there was indeed evidence of sexual assault. I’m not sure why there was that discrepancy, but I do agree that Donna was sexually assaulted — possibly by two or more men. Based on this, I’m actually planning to upload a NEW media file with the correct information to replace the original file. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! . It’s unfortunate you got so many of the details of this decades old cold case incorrect. It was well known the day Donna’s body was found -- and stories circulated throughout our BOO-wee community -- that she was sexually assaulted by more than one man. They also left her body brutally assaulted and abused, sending a message. This murder traumatized all of us who are still seeking justice. We had no way of knowing if we knew these young men and if they’d attack again. Still hoping the Anne Arundel County Police will solve this.
